Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us. What you can do here, what you own, and what gets an account closed.

Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Satham. By signing in you agree to them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What Satham is

A catalogue of music made by AI from text you write. Everything on it is machine-generated. You describe what you want, a model makes audio, and you decide whether to keep it to yourself or publish it.

Your account

You need an account to make or publish anything. You must be at least 13, or older where the law where you live says so — 16 in much of Europe. What happens through your account is your responsibility, so keep your sign-in to yourself.

One person, one account. Making extra accounts to collect the signup credits more than once is a breach of these terms, and we may close all of them. You also need to confirm your email address before you can generate anything.

Credits

Making music costs credits. Every account is given some when it is created, and what a track costs depends on the model and the length — the price is always shown before you start.

  • Credits are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be moved between accounts.
  • The signup credits arrive once. There is no monthly refill and no top-up: when they are gone, the way to get more is to buy them. They do not expire in the meantime.
  • You are charged before the model runs, because that is when the cost is incurred on our side.
  • A track that fails is refunded. One you cancel after it has already gone to a model is not, because it has been paid for by then.
  • We may change prices and how many credits a new account gets. If a change takes away something you already have, we will tell you first.

Buying credits

You can buy credits on the website and the desktop app. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments — your card details go to them, not to us.

  • Credits are added once the payment actually clears, which is usually immediate but can take a few minutes.
  • Because credits are delivered straight away, purchases are not refundable once you have spent them. If something has gone wrong — you were charged twice, or the credits never arrived — write to support@satham.ai and we will sort it out.
  • Nothing renews. There is no subscription and no recurring charge; you buy credits when you want more.
  • If you live somewhere that gives you a statutory right to cancel, that right stands regardless of anything here.

What you make, and who owns it

As between you and us, the music you make is yours. We claim no ownership of it.

Two things qualify that, and both are outside our control:

  • The companies running the models have their own terms. Your rights in what comes out are also subject to whoever ran it, and those terms are theirs to change.
  • Machine-generated work may not be copyrightable at all in some countries, including the United States. We cannot give you rights the law does not recognise, and nothing here promises that what you make is protected.

When you publish a track you give us permission to store it, convert it and stream it to listeners, along with its title and artwork, for as long as it stays published. That is simply what hosting it requires. It ends when you unpublish, and we do not use it for anything else.

What you may not make or publish

Please do not use Satham to make or publish:

  • anything that infringes someone else’s copyright, including prompts written to recreate a particular existing song;
  • audio imitating a real person’s voice or name without their permission;
  • anything illegal where you are, or anything that sexualises children;
  • content that harasses or threatens people, or incites violence or hatred;
  • content passed off as someone else’s, or as an official release it is not;
  • bulk uploads meant to game the charts or flood the catalogue.

You are responsible for the artwork you upload, and for having the right to use it.

Reporting and moderation

Anyone signed in can report a track, album or artist, and every report gets looked at. If we uphold a report, or otherwise find a breach of these terms, we may:

  • take the content down, which removes it for everyone, including you;
  • stop the account creating, which leaves you able to sign in, browse and listen but not to make, publish or spend;
  • close the account, for repeated or serious breaches.

We will tell you why. If you think a decision is wrong, write to support@satham.ai and we will look again.

If you think something here infringes your copyright, report it in the app under the copyright category, or write to support@satham.ai. Tell us what was copied, where the original is, and how to reach you. Accounts that keep infringing get closed.

Fair use of the service

You can only have a few tracks generating at once, and we may add other limits to keep the site working for everybody. Please do not try to get around them, script the site, or resell access to it.

Availability

Satham is provided as it is. We cannot promise it will always be up, that a model will produce anything in particular, or that a track will come out at all. The models belong to other companies and can change or vanish. We may change or drop features, and will give reasonable notice when a change really affects you.

Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.

Ending it

You can stop using Satham and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we have to. If we close your account for no fault of yours, we will refund any credits you have paid for and not used.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or music you lose. If we do end up owing you something, it is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protections you have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change really affects you we will say so on the site before it takes effect, and carrying on using Satham after that means you accept it.
